Innovation is at the heart of Nespresso. The worlwide pioneer of premium single-serve coffee maker has gained a considerable success with the launching of their VertuoLine machine back there in 2014. This year, at the previous October 1, 2015, Nespresso is once again trying to define the definition of coffee by introducing the Evoluo machine. Evoluo is basically lined altogether in the VertuoLine series. The machine experienced a few design improvements from the original VertuoLine along with some additional knick-knack features. And, both the original VertuoLine and the new Evoluo machine are sold at around the same price. So, which one will actually deliver better value for customer’s money? As a continuation of the VertuoLine, Nespresso Evoluo still retains the Centrifusion technology to extract coffee from the coffee capsules. When activated, the machine will spin the capsule up to 7,000 rotations per minute while blending in the water to produce the perfect crema. There is also the same barcode recognition system to detect the type of each coffee capsule inserted into the machine and adapt the settings automatically. So, there is no real change in the brewing mechanism of the Evoluo machine compared to the original VertuoLine. However, Evoluo comes with five adjustable positions of cup support. Users can modify it accordingly for the optimal cup positioning under different circumstances. Furthermore, the Evoluo has two different versions with different water tank capacity: the ‘only’ Evoluo and the Evoluo Deluxe. While the Evoluo version has the same water reservoir capacity with the original VertuoLine, 40 ounces, the Evoluo Deluxe is packed with a whopping 54 ounces water tank.

We can see that the Evoluo machine is basically very similar with the older VertuoLine, except for the adjustable cup positions and two choices of reservoir capacity. Being on around the same pricing, if you have to choose between Evoluo and VertuoLine, it is indeed better to go for the Evoluo. The few plus wouldn’t hurt to be had.
