Both of the two products are very popular on the market. Many coffee lovers have expressed their satisfaction with these two models. So, should you choose Gaggia Brera or DeLonghi Magnifica? While it is true that Gaggia Brera is usually sold at a slightly more affordable price point than DeLonghi Magnifica, we can’t just choose based on the price alone. See the comparisons between these two super automatic coffee machines below!

Gaggia Brera Vs DeLonghi Magnifica

First of all, let’s see the dimensions of these two coffee machines. Gaggia Brera is 10 inches wide, 17.5 inches deep, and 12.4 inches tall. On the other hand, DeLonghi Magnifica is 15.3 inches wide, 11 inches deep, and 14.4 inches tall. Overall, Gaggia Brera is a more compact machine than DeLonghi Magnifica and hence will fit more easily on a narrow countertop.

Gaggia Brera is available in two color options, black and silver. The two versions only differ by the color on the side panels, and the front side of either version is stainless steel. Gaggia Brera features a nice digital display on the front panel that makes controlling the machine much easier and more intuitive.

On the other hand, DeLonghi Magnifica is only available in one color option, which has black side panels and a stainless steel front panel. For control, it features various buttons and switches, but there is no display screen.

Build Quality
One of the aspects that you may want to consider when choosing between Gaggia Brera vs DeLonghi Magnifica is the build quality. We may need to note that Gaggia Brera is a relatively new model, whereas DeLonghi Magnifica is an older model. Gaggia Brera is now considered as a decent entry-level machine, whereas DeLonghi Magnifica was a popular mid-range model at the time of its release.

Both models have stainless steel housings with some plastic parts. However, Gaggia Brera is equipped with a ceramic grinder and a stainless steel frothing wand, while DeLonghi Magnifica comes with a steel grinder and a plastic frothing wand. So, we can say that Gaggia Brera has a better build quality than DeLonghi Magnifica. The ceramic grinder is great because it will never rust and it won’t burn the coffee beans as it grinds, and the stainless steel frothing wand is excellent because the material is more durable and effective for transferring heat.

Gaggia Brera is armed with just one boiler, but don’t worry about temperature fluctuations because the machine is able to maintain the temperature levels quite well. There is a built-in filtration system to remove impurities from the water and reduce scale build-up, and it has been programmed to notify the user when maintenance is required.

Meanwhile, just like DeLonghi Perfecta that we previously discussed in DeLonghi Magnificavs Perfecta, DeLonghi Magnifica comes with the patented “Cappuccino System” which performs very well in producing perfectly mixed froth. The machine is equipped with a dual boiler system for stable and highly consistent temperature.
