Design and Construction
Both Capresso EC100 and DeLonghi EC155 feature stainless steel exterior, which makes them not only look premium and elegant, but also rugged, durable, and very easy to wipe clean. Capresso EC100 is a tiny bit bulkier to the sides compared to DeLonghi EC155, but the difference is trivial and neglectable. The boilers of both machines are stainless steel as well for optimum heating performance and longevity. Water Reservoir
Capresso EC100’s slightly bigger body seems to be caused by the larger water reservoir. It has a 46-oz water tank, whereas DeLonghi EC155’s is only 35-oz. The difference is roughly equal to two or three cups of coffee, which is pretty significant if you don’t fancy doing the water refill.

Additional Features
DeLonghi EC155 boasts a self-priming operation. With DeLonghi EC155, there is no start-up preparation work to be made; it gets itself ready. It also features a swivel jet frother that functions to prepare high-quality latte and cappuccino. There is an integrated cup warmer, too, on the machine.

On the other hand, Capresso EC100 features a dual frother system. The frother consists of two parts. It has a Frothing Sleeve for frothing milk for cappuccinos. However, if the Frothing Sleeve is removed, then the Steam Tube is revealed for lattes. It also has a self-locking filter holder with thumbguard for safety, and a removable heavy-duty stainless steel cup warming platform.

For the best cups of coffee and convenience, DeLonghi EC155 is slightly more superior than Capresso EC100. The dual thermostat system works excellently for maintaining the temperature, which is crucial in making espresso. The self-priming operation is also very handy, especially in a busy day.
